Imagine strolling through a crowded souk somewhere in Morocco. The loud calls of the traders lure you into crowded stalls and shops: leather sandals, wooden caskets, baskets full of bright yellow saffron. The sun tickles the tip of your nose and you begin to long for a little break in all the hustle and bustle..
Your gaze lingers on a stall with the tempting smell of chocolate and coffee. You sit down at one of the rickety tables covered with turquoise mosaic and look expectantly at the boy with the steaming cup ...
We are only too happy to indulge in daydreams like this during the cold seasons. Nature outside is still grey and bare, offering little stimulation for our winter-starved souls. This sensual recipe is just what we need!
Unfortunately, we can't send a waiter over to serve you a cup of café au chocolat. So get in the kitchen - it really doesn't take long. Follow the recipe and pour the finished drink into your coffee to go CUP. You'll be ready whenever you feel like a break during the day. And then close your eyes, clasp the CUP with your hands and allow yourself a little smile.
That's what you need:
- 70 ml milk
- 50 g whipped cream
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp cocoa powder (alternative: 30 g dark chocolate)
- 100 ml strong coffee
- ¼ tsp ground cardamom
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch of cocoa powder for the decoration
It's that simple:
- Heat up 50 ml milk, cream, sugar and cocoa powder in a pot while whisking.
- Add the freshly brewed coffee.
- Season with cardamom and cinnamon, pour into the Coffee to go CUP.
- Whisk up the remaining 20 ml of milk, pour over the coffee and dust with a little cocoa powder.

Good to know: Prepare now, enjoy later? No problem! In the CUP, the café au chocolat stays as hot as freshly made for a good three hours. The spill-free opening makes it easy to drink while walking and protects your favourite shirt from stains at the same time. Clever!
