Do's and Don'ts of Gen II CUP Cleaning

the CUP

The most important question first: Can the Gen II CUP go in the dishwasher?

Even if it's tempting, it's better not to.

In our experience, dishwashers do not provide optimal cleaning results for coffee cups. They bombard your Gen II CUP with hot water and aggressive cleaning agents without paying attention to where exactly it is dirty. Targeted, gentle cleaning looks different!

In the long run, the colored coating of the Gen II CUP suffers from such rough treatment. Therefore: If you care about your Gen II CUP, clean it by hand. This not only gives you much better access to the dirty areas, but also ensures that your coffee mug looks like new for a long time. We'll show you how it works:

The daily cleaning routine for your coffee mug

Keeping your Gen II CUP sparkling clean takes hardly any time or effort. Because its interior is made of smooth, tasteless stainless steel. Odors don't stick here and dirt particles or bacteria find it difficult to find a home.

It is best to carry out the following steps after each use - e.g. B. when you come home or in the evening before you go to bed. This prevents residue from drying out. And the next morning everything is ready for your coffee enjoyment.

  1. Unscrew the lid and open the fliplid.

  2. Pour away any remaining liquid.

  3. Hold the container and lid under warm running water. Twist and turn them a little until they are clean.

  4. If necessary, wipe the parts with a soft sponge or brush them lightly with the dishwashing brush. You can use a drop of dish soap for this. Rinse with clean water.

  5. Allow to air dry.

This is how you get your Gen II CUP Coffee to-go cup really clean

From time to time, the Gen II CUP enjoys a deep cleaning. In doing so, you remove deposits under the silicone seals and in other hard-to-reach cracks - for maximum cleanliness and hygiene!

  1. Unscrew the lid and open the fliplid.

  2. Remove the sealing ring from the thread and the seal from the fliplid.

  3. Place the container, lid and sealing ring separately in a warm water bath with a little washing-up liquid for a few minutes.

  4. Remove debris with a brush or sponge.

  5. Rinse the parts with clean water, let them dry and only put them back together when they are dry.

FLSK tip: To remove particularly stubborn dirt from your Gen II CUP, you can also use denture cleaner. Add a tablet to the soaking water instead of dish soap and watch deposits magically disappear.
