Hygiene for FLSK products: 5 tips that really help

Hygiene für FLSK Produkte: 5 Tipps, die wirklich helfen

First things first: Bacteria and other microorganisms are simply part of life. They populate your body, the soil in the garden, and many foods like yogurt. No strict cleaning routine can free you from them—and that's a good thing!

But of course, there are harmful germs and viruses that we'd rather not catch. To help the immune system in defense, a few hygiene measures are quite appropriate. Especially for FLSK stainless steel bottlesto-go coffee cups, and snack pots. These naturally come very close to us, providing unwelcome guests with a shortcut to our mucous membranes.

With products from FLSK, you've made a good choice in terms of hygiene as well. They are made of high-quality stainless steel that provides no foothold for germs. Now, just a few simple steps are needed to keep your favorite daily companions hygienically clean.

Best Friends for Every Day: Hot Water and Cleaning Pearls.

For daily cleaning of the FLSK coffee cup and FLSK stainless steel bottle, use warm water, a few drops of dish soap, and a soft sponge or brush. To tackle deposits inside the FLSK bottle, use our cleaning pearls.

Dishwasher? No, thanks.

You should avoid using the dishwasher for FLSK products outside of the stainless - all natural series for several reasons: first, it can affect the appearance of our products and even the seal of the FLSK bottle. Second, bottles and containers often don't come out completely clean.

The Full Sweep: Disinfect.

Basic cleaning removes residue and other surface dirt, but it can't kill all bacteria. Therefore, disinfection is necessary from time to time.

Simply fill the FLSK bottle with water that's just below boiling and let it sit for ten minutes. Rinse the unpainted neck of the bottle with very hot water.

We recommend against using cloths or sprays with chemical disinfectants because you'll be eating or drinking from these containers. However, cleaning tablets from the drugstore made for braces or dentures can be used.

Proper Drying.

Drying is an important part of the cleaning process. Viruses and bacteria love moisture and struggle to multiply on dry surfaces. So, should you just rub with a kitchen towel after washing?

Stop! Dish towels are often underrated germ spreaders, coming into daily contact with food, dishes, kitchen surfaces, and our hands. Change towels every other day and use only clean dish towels for your FLSK products.

After washing, dry the containers as much as possible with a clean towel and let them air-dry upside down so no water remains inside.

Please only store the FLSK coffee cup and stainless steel bottle when they are completely dry.

Don't Forget the Lid.

Finished? Oh, wait—there's one more thing: the lid! Don't skip it in your hygiene measures since dirt can easily accumulate in its crevices and grooves.

For the FLSK coffee cup and bottle, remove the lid before cleaning and disassemble it into its individual parts. You can also remove the FLSK bottle's sealing ring. This ring should occasionally be taken off and cleaned because beverage residues can accumulate under it, leading to bacteria and unpleasant odors.

You can clean the ring by boiling it regularly, which will certainly eliminate all bacteria. Make sure to put the sealing ring back on the lid correctly to ensure the FLSK bottle remains leakproof.
