The production: With a lot of energy for a long service life.
Before we can shape it into a beautiful FLSK product, the stainless steel must first be made. Blast furnaces melt iron ore into steel at temperatures above 1000 degrees. It is then elaborately refined with other materials such as chrome or nickel. Of course, this costs a lot of energy.
On the other hand, stainless steel makes objects robust and durable. One could say without much exaggeration: stainless steel products such as the FLSK stainless steel drinking bottle , the muki snack pot and the CUP coffee cup to go are made to last. Unlike disposable products, which are often only used for a few minutes, the energy used to produce them is “worth it”.
Recyclability? Top!
Most plastics are not recyclable. This means: A yogurt cup must be made from newly obtained plastic. And once the service life has expired, the raw materials used are lost. Melting down plastic to make new yogurt cups is not possible. That's why we love stainless steel! You can melt it down again and again - completely without loss. Isn't that great?
