After Eight Coffee

After Eight Coffee | Rezept

Retro, vintage, old school - these labels are used to sell us old-fashioned ideas as cool. On closer inspection, they turn out to be old-fashioned. But that doesn't apply at all to the hot drink we'd like to introduce to you today.

After Eight Coffee has been forgotten totally unfairly. It's retro in the best sense of the word, bringing us the flair and attitude of the past, but without all the dust. You don't need worn leather chairs on thick carpets in an English country house somewhere, just your CUP coffee to go cup.

With its elegant peppermint notes combined with chocolate and coffee, After Eight Coffee soothes us in the comforting feeling of being decadent in a tolerable way - not too normal, but not too out of the ordinary either.

That's what you need:

  • 100 ml warm milk
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 150 ml hot coffee
  • 1 tbsp peppermint syrup (2 tbsp for a more intense flavour)
  • 50 ml cream (whipped)
  • Chocolate rasps and fresh mint for decoration

It's that simple:

  1. Mix the cocoa powder with the milk.
  2. Pour into the coffee and add the peppermint syrup. Stir well.
  3. Pour the cream on top.
  4. Using a knife, scrape a few shavings from a block of chocolate (or use ready-made shavings) and sprinkle over the cream topping. Tuck in a bunch of mint.
Do you already know the CUP coffee to go cup? It is the ideal partner in crime for the After Eight Coffee to go. Be independent and treat yourself to this liquid luxury wherever you are.

Perfect for this.
