Some time ago we introduced you to the ginger shot here in FLSK Magazine. Today there is a variant that will add some variety to your shot routine. Those of you who find pure ginger too spicy will love the ginger pineapple shot.

In this recipe we reduce the amount of spicy tuber and add some sweet pineapple instead. Turmeric provides the superfood bonus and the bright yellow color. The result: a powerful “short drink” that wakes you up, but has a slightly gentler taste.

With this shot variation you can also support your body in staying healthy in challenging, stressful times:

  • Ginger is a true all-rounder that replenishes energy reserves and can ward off colds.

  • Pineapple provides potassium, trace elements and the protein-splitting enzyme bromelain, which, according to Stiftung Warentest, has an active anti-inflammatory effect.

  • Lime contributes vitamin C and other vital substances.

You need this:

  • 50 g fresh organic ginger root

  • 80 g fresh pineapple

  • 60 ml pineapple juice

  • 2 organic limes

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

It's that easy:

  1. Peel ginger and pineapple.

  2. Squeeze limes.

  3. Process together with the pineapple juice and the turmeric powder in a blender to form a creamy liquid.

  • Use the freshest, organic ingredients possible.
