Mulled Wine Sour | Recipe

This year, we're inviting you to a very special Advent tea party. Instead of steaming cups, there will be clinking glasses, as we serve mulled wine over ice, in the style of the popular sour cocktails – with lemon and sugar syrup. To balance the lemon's acidity, we'll add a dash of Amaretto: It tastes like liquid marzipan.
This recipe for mulled wine sour is a great idea when winter confuses the positive and negative temperatures and every hot drink seems out of place. Or when you want something a little more elegant and festive. You just can't toast each other as well with clunky punch cups as with stylish cocktail glasses. So grab the shaker and shake it, baby!
This is what you need:
-
160 ml mulled wine
-
40 ml Amaretto
-
50 ml sugar syrup
-
Juice of 1/2 lemon
-
Crushed ice
-
Optional decoration: cinnamon stick and orange
It's that easy:
-
Pour mulled wine, amaretto, sugar syrup, and lemon juice into a shaker. Add some crushed ice.
-
Shake the shaker vigorously up and down in front of you for about 10 seconds to mix the ingredients. Add some crushed ice to a glass and pour the liquid over it. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and orange slice, if desired.
Cocktail to go: Mixed drinks are also easy to take with you. For example, to surprise friends with a gift or to enjoy a drink outdoors. You can transport them safely in the completely leak-proof FLSK drinking bottle.
