Mulled wine sour

Glühwein-Sour

This year we invite you to a special kind of Advent tea. Instead of steaming cups, there are clinking glasses because we serve mulled wine on ice and in the style of the popular sour cocktails - with lemon and sugar syrup. To balance the acidity of the lemon, we add a dash of Amaretto: it tastes like liquid marzipan.

The mulled wine sour is an excellent idea when winter confuses plus and minus temperatures and every hot drink seems absurd. Or if you want something a little more elegant and festive. Chunky punch cups don't toast each other as well as stylish cocktail glasses. So get on the shaker and shake it, baby!

You need this:

  • 160 ml mulled wine

  • 40ml Amaretto

  • 50 ml sugar syrup

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • Crushed ice

  • Optional decoration: cinnamon stick and orange

It's that easy:

  1. Pour mulled wine, amaretto, sugar syrup and lemon juice into a shaker. Add some crushed ice.

  2. Move the shaker up and down vigorously in front of your body for about 10 seconds to mix the ingredients. Put some crushed ice in a glass and pour the liquid over it. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and orange if desired.

Cocktail to go: Mixed drinks can also be easily taken with you. For example, to surprise friends with a gift or to enjoy a drink in the open air. You can transport it safely in the completely sealed FLSK drinking bottle.
