Grapefruit Pomegranate Mocktail

Grapefruit Granatapfel Mocktail

Have you noticed that guests who don't drink alcohol at parties are still at a disadvantage? There's this little pause of shock that follows the outing. It's like breaking an unwritten rule and asking for something unseemly with a non-alcoholic drink.

No matter what the reason - if you're giving up alcohol, you still deserve creative drinks. Because water (boooring!) or cola (completely oversugared!) won't sweep anyone off their feet, you should pass this fantastic mocktail recipe on to the host. Or simply plan it yourself for your next cocktail party.

By the way, the effort is limited: You just prepare this recipe and add 2 cl of gin for guests who like alcohol. The Grapefruit Pomegranate is fun in every variation.

That's what you need:

For the drink

  • Ice cubes
  • 100 ml grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 70 ml pomegranate juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 30 ml kombucha
  • 30 ml sparkling water
  • Pinch of cinnamon

For the decoration (optional)

  • Wooden skewer
  • grapefruit slice
  • some pomegranate seeds
  • sage leaves

It's that simple:

  1. Put ice cubes in a cocktail glass and add the juices. Stir briefly.
  2. Add kombucha and sparkling water, flavor with cinnamon.
  3. Pierce a medium wooden skewer through a slice of grapefruit and place over the rim of the glass so that the fruit floats above the drink. Place pomegranate seeds on top and tuck a bunch of sage underneath.
