The mulled wine season is over, but there’s still plenty of winter left? For those who aren't ready for a cold drink amidst the ongoing snow and ice, we have the solution: warm up your favorite summer drink! Aperol Spritz also works fantastically in a hot version: the Hot Aperol – with a cinnamon stick for a cozy, spicy touch.
Hot Aperol is a bitter-fruity winter punch with alcohol, and its vibrant orange color is sure to impress. To highlight this (and the garnish of orange slices and cinnamon sticks), serve the Hot Aperol in an elegant glass instead of a mug. Our conclusion: It looks impressive, surprises your guests, and is easy to make even without expert mixing skills. Definitely one for the repertoire!
What you need:
-
250 ml apple juice
-
1 cinnamon stick

150 ml Aperol
Here's how to do it:
-
Pour the white wine into a pot and warm it over medium heat (do not boil).
-
Add the apple juice and continue to heat.

Pour in the Aperol and the juice of half an orange (or 50 ml bottled orange juice). Stir well.
-
Divide into glasses. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and orange slices.
