The prettiest drink in town? The lavender spritz will soon be on your balcony. With its delicate flower decoration and unique taste, it will transport you far away with every sip. What does it matter if the view is only of the backyard - this aperitif makes us dream of summer in the South of France!
Have you ever been there? Endless lavender fields stretching to the deep blue horizon. Clouds of fragrance rise from the bright purple blossoms, carried to you by the wind. Bees buzz and for a moment you wish you could be one of them and just dive into one of the magnificent calyxes.
This quickly mixed lavender spritz recipe makes sensual intoxication possible even without a holiday in France! Contrary to the common prejudice about the fragrant plant, lavender does not taste soapy at all when mixed with Prosecco, but rather delicately floral and summery-fresh. Sensitive palates simply reduce the syrup content.
You'll need:
- Ice cube
- 20 cl Prosecco
- 1 shot sparkling mineral water
- 2 cl lavender syrup
- A few sprigs of lavender to decorate
It's that simple:
- Put ice cubes in a glass.
- Pour prosecco and mineral water over it.
- Add lavender syrup.
- Decorate with sprigs of lavender.
Where can I get lavender?
Cut a few sprigs in the garden - this is of course the nicest way to prepare this drink. Lavender is a warmth and sun-loving plant that is easy to grow in a bed or pot. If you don't have the opportunity, you can also find lavender in well-stocked supermarkets or at the weekly market. Foodies and DIY enthusiasts can also make their own lavender syrup with the blossoms.
