Non-alcoholic Cherry-Lime Spritz

Alkoholfreier Kirsch-Limetten-Spritz

While alcoholic drinks are usually composed around a specific spirit, successful mocktails are the result of an alchemical process. All ingredients must blend into a harmonious whole. The resulting drink should be both refined on the palate and elaborate in appearance. It's about more than just swirling fruit juices together.

A good example of this is the Cherry Lime Spritz. Although wonderfully simple to prepare, this mocktail surprises us with a finely balanced richness of flavor. Sour cherries and lime contrast with the sweetness of the lemonade. The rosemary sprig in the drink adds resinous and spicy aromas and a hint of bitterness.

Do you have adults and children at home this weekend? This is the perfect drink for both. To avoid complaints about "green stuff" in the glass, simply leave out the rosemary for the kids. Easy!

This is what you need:

  • 1 sprig of rosemary

  • 120 ml sour cherry juice

  • 120 ml lemonade

  • 30 ml freshly squeezed lime juice

  • ice cubes

  • Fresh cherries (optional, for decoration)

  • Lime slices (optional, for decoration)

It's that easy:

  1. Gently press the rosemary sprig between your palms or with a muddler to release the aromas. Place it in a glass filled with ice cubes.

  2. Add sour cherry juice and lime juice to the glass.

  3. Top up with lemonade or mineral water and stir.

  4. Garnish with fresh cherries and lime slices if desired.

Tip: Instead of lemonade, you can also use lemon-flavored mineral water. It's less sweet, has fewer calories, but tastes similar.
