Pink Summer Dream

Pink Summer Dream

We want to extend the summer – who’s there?! We knew it!

We have created a fruity and refreshing drink especially for this purpose. Tada: the Pink Summer Dream. Behind the sweet name is a cocktail that does not contain any added sugar and takes you to seventh heaven without alcohol.

Of course, the Pink Summer Dream still tastes slightly sweet due to the ripe, juicy fruits. But the high water content of watermelon makes it a pleasant thirst quencher for warm late summer days. The coconut water adds a few extra minerals and a Caribbean touch.

You need this:

  • 150 g watermelon (without peel)

  • 30g raspberries

  • 50g strawberries

  • 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 50 ml coconut water (no added sugar)

  • 50 ml mineral water

  • Ice cubes

  • Bouquets of basil for decoration

It's that easy:

  1. Place the watermelon in large pieces in the blender and puree.

  2. Wash the strawberries, remove any leaves and add them to the mixing bowl with the raspberries.

  3. Add lemon juice and coconut water. Mix everything well.

  4. Pour into a glass, add ice cubes and pour in mineral water.

  5. The cocktail becomes particularly pretty if you put a bunch of basil in it.

Good to know:

  • Watermelon seeds contain many healthy nutrients. You can therefore eat them without any concerns. However, for this drink we would remove them before pureeing. Your mixer may not be able to break them down completely and as a result you will end up with small black core residues floating in the glass.

  • Raspberries and strawberries also have tiny seeds. If they bother you, you can first puree the berries and strain them through a sieve.

  • In contrast to coconut milk, coconut water has hardly any calories. However, make sure that you buy coconut water without artificial additives and sugar.
