Pink Summer Dream | Watermelon Mocktail Recipe

Pink Summer Dream

We want to extend the summer – who's in?! We knew it!

Especially for this purpose, we’ve created a fruity and refreshing non-alcoholic watermelon cocktail for you. Tada: the Pink Summer Dream. Behind the sweet name is a mocktail that comes without any added sugar and will lift you to cloud nine, alcohol-free.

Of course, thanks to the ripe, juicy fruits, the Pink Summer Dream still tastes lightly sweet. But the high water content of the watermelon makes it a refreshing thirst-quencher for warm late summer days. The coconut water adds a few extra minerals and a touch of the Caribbean.

What you need:

  • 150 g watermelon (without rind)

  • 30 g raspberries

  • 50 g strawberries

  • 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 50 ml coconut water (no added sugar)

  • 50 ml sparkling water

  • Ice cubes

  • Small bunch of basil for garnish

Here's how to do it:

  1. Place the watermelon chunks into a blender and purée.

  2. Wash the strawberries, remove any leaves, and add them along with the raspberries to the blender.

  3. Add the lemon juice and coconut water. Blend everything well.

  4. Pour into a glass, add ice cubes, and top off with sparkling water.

  5. The cocktail looks especially pretty if you garnish it with a small bunch of basil.

Good to know:

  • Watermelon seeds contain many healthy nutrients, so they are safe to eat. However, for this drink, it’s better to remove them before blending. Your blender might not break them down completely, leaving small black seed fragments in your glass.

  • Raspberries and strawberries also have tiny seeds. If they bother you, you can purée the berries first and strain them through a sieve.

  • Unlike coconut milk, coconut water has almost no calories. However, make sure to buy coconut water without artificial additives or sugar.
