Spicy Winter Mule | Recipe

Spicy Winter Mule | Rezept

You're out in the city in the evening. The air is bitingly cold, and your breath forms small clouds in front of your face. The asphalt glistens in the glow of the streetlights, and the city seems to pulse with its own rhythm. The winter wind blows cheekily through your hair. You stroll through the alleys, occasionally hearing the sound of sparkling laughter wafting out of a bar. You shiver slightly, but somehow you don't feel like being in a stuffy, overheated interior. What do you do?

You pull out your FLSK water bottle and enjoy your Spicy Winter Mule, which you thoughtfully prepared at home. Of course, it's still pleasantly warm in your insulated bottle. With its blend of fresh ginger, tangy ginger beer, and aromatic spices, this drink is just the thing to warm you up from within after a walk through the wintery city. Sip by sip, you warm up. And so you enjoy the half hour until your meeting with your loved ones to the fullest.

This is what you need for one glass:

  • 50 ml vodka

  • 100 ml ginger beer

  • 1-2 fresh ginger slices

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 sprig of rosemary

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • A handful of cranberries

  • ice cubes

It's that easy:

  1. Add a handful of cranberries, a slice of ginger, and a pinch of cinnamon to the glass. To release the aromas, gently muddle the ingredients, perhaps with a cocktail muddler.

  2. Fill the glass with ice cubes.

  3. Pour the vodka over the ice and stir briefly.

  4. Now add the ginger beer and stir gently again.

  5. Decorate the drink with a sprig of rosemary and a cinnamon stick.

Tips and tricks:

  • For an even more intense ginger flavor, you can also grate the ginger into the glass.

  • If you don't like vodka, you can also use gin instead—this will give the cocktail a slightly fresher flavor. Or you can leave out the alcohol altogether.

  • If you like the cocktail a little sweeter, you can add some honey or agave syrup.
