Strawberry ice tea

Erdbeer-Eistee | Rezept

The strawberry - food of the blessed, attribute of the love goddesses, expression of sensuality and love of life. Wow, who knew the sweet red fruits were so symbolically charged? Sometimes they also represent sin and we like to be seduced by them into a little culinary sin. Especially since this strawberry iced tea is a relatively healthy refreshment - depending on how much sugar you put in it.

Our strawberry iced tea tastes best when chilled. So if you want to take it outside, we recommend packing it in the FLSK 500. This versatile drinking bottle has a built-in cooling function and provides you with delicious refreshments.

You need this:

  • 100g strawberries

  • 1/2 organic lemon

  • 1 tsp - 1 tbsp sugar, depending on desired sweetness

  • 1 pinch of vanilla powder or a little vanilla pulp from the pod

  • 150 ml tap water

  • 1 tea bag Earl Gray tea

  • Mineral water at will

  • Ice cubes

It's that easy:

  1. Wash, dry and remove the stems from the strawberries. Then cut into small pieces.

  2. Rinse the lemon peel with hot water and squeeze out about 1 tablespoon of juice. Cut off a slice of lemon.

  3. Mix the strawberry pieces, lemon juice, sugar, vanilla and 150 ml water in a pot, bring to the boil briefly and simmer for a few minutes.

  4. Remove from heat. Hang the tea bag in and let it steep for 3 minutes.

  5. Remove bag and filter liquid through a sieve. Let cool down.

  6. Put ice cubes in a glass, add iced tea and lemon wedge and pour in mineral water.
