Wow, who would have thought that these sweet red fruits are so symbolically charged? Sometimes they also represent sin, and we're happy to allow ourselves to be tempted into a little culinary sin. Especially since this strawberry iced tea is a relatively healthy refreshment – ​​depending on how much sugar you add.

Our strawberry iced tea recipe tastes best served chilled. So if you're planning on taking it outside, we recommend packing it in the FLSK 500. This versatile water bottle has a built-in cooling function and will keep you refreshed.

This is what you need:

  • 100 g strawberries

  • 1/2 organic lemon

  • 1 tsp - 1 tbsp sugar, depending on desired sweetness

  • 1 pinch of vanilla powder or some vanilla pulp from the pod

  • 150 ml tap water

  • 1 tea bag Earl Grey tea

  • Mineral water as desired

  • ice cubes

It's that easy:

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries, remove the stems, and then cut them into small pieces.

  2. Rinse the lemon peel with hot water and squeeze out about 1 tablespoon of juice. Cut a lemon slice.

  3. Mix strawberry pieces, lemon juice, sugar, vanilla and 150 ml water in a saucepan, bring to a boil briefly and simmer for a few minutes.

  4. Remove from heat. Hang the tea bag in the teapot and let it steep for 3 minutes.

  5. Remove the bag and strain the liquid through a sieve. Let cool.

  6. Put ice cubes in a glass, add iced tea and lemon slice and top up with mineral water.
