Hygiene for FLSK products: 5 tips that really help

Hygiene für FLSK Produkte: 5 Tipps, die wirklich helfen

First things first: bacteria and other microorganisms are simply part of life. They populate your body, the soil in your garden and many foods such as yogurt in droves. No amount of strict cleaning routines can rid you of them - and that's a good thing!

But of course there are also harmful germs and viruses that we would rather not catch. To help the immune system defend itself, a few hygiene measures are definitely advisable. Especially with FLSK ,CUP and snack spots. This is because they naturally come very close to us and allow uninvited guests a shortcut to the oral mucosa.

With products from FLSK, you have also made a good choice when it comes to hygiene. This is because they are made of high-quality stainless steel, which offers no surface for germs to attack. Now all it takes is a few simple steps to keep your favorite everyday companions hygienically clean.

Best friends for every day: hot water and cleaning pearls.

For daily cleaning of Gen II CUP, muki and FLSK, it is best to use warm water, a few drops of washing-up liquid and a soft sponge or brush. Use our cleaning pearls to tackle deposits on the inside of the FLSK drinking bottle.

Dishwasher? No, thank you.

However, you should avoid the dishwasher for FLSK products outside the stainless - all natural series for several reasons: Firstly, it can affect the appearance of our products and, in the case of FLSK, also the seal. And secondly, the bottles and containers often do not get completely clean.

The all-round blow: Disinfect.

Basic cleaning removes residues and other superficial dirt. However, it cannot completely kill any bacteria. This is why disinfection is necessary from time to time.

To do this, simply fill the FLSK with water that is no longer boiling for ten minutes and rinse the outside of the uncoated bottle neck with very hot water.

We do not recommend using wipes or sprays with chemical disinfectants, as you want to eat or drink from the containers again. However, cleaning tabs from the drugstore, which are actually made for braces or dentures, are possible.

Dry properly.

Drying is an important part of the cleaning process. This is because viruses and bacteria love moisture and find it difficult to multiply on dry surfaces. So simply rubbing them with a kitchen towel after washing up?

Stop! Dishcloths are often underestimated germ slingers. They come into contact with food, dishes, kitchen surfaces and our hands every day. Therefore, change the cloths at least every other day and only use clean tea towels for your FLSK product.

Dry the containers as well as possible after rinsing and then let them air dry with the opening facing downwards so that no water can stick to the inside.

Please only store the CUP coffee to go cup, the muki snack pot and FLSK drinking bottle completely dry in the cupboard.

Do not forget the lid.

Ready? Oh yes, there was something else - the lid! You shouldn't leave it out of all hygiene measures. Its crevices and grooves hold dirt twice as well.

With CUP, muki and FLSK, remove the lid before cleaning and disassemble it as far as possible into its individual parts. You can also remove the sealing ring from the FLSK. This should also be removed and cleaned from time to time. Why? Beverage residue can accumulate under the seal, which can lead to bacteria and unpleasant odors.

You can simply boil the ring regularly to clean it. This way you are sure to kill off any bacteria. Please make sure you put the sealing ring back on the lid correctly, otherwise the FLSK will not seal properly.
